Privacy Policies & Procedures

Customer Information

​

Privacy Policy describes the information gathered about the customer and the purpose for which the information is used. HOBAW is prohibited from selling customer information to any third party.

Identifiable customer information is absolutely necessary for HOBAW transactions or internal records. Customer information associated with connections to the HOBAW website include IP address, operating system, web browser, and page visits.

Customer email addresses used to communicate with HOBAW aggregates information on page views and any information the customer volunteers.

​

Financial information, such as credit or debit cards, are used for order processing only.

​

Customer information gathered is used internally to help HOBAW create better and more effective shopping experiences. Understanding typical navigational patterns helps HOBAW improve website flow and efficiency.

When customers complete a purchase, HOBAW sends an email to confirm the purchase order and may also contact the customer via phone, postal mail, or email if other questions regarding the purchase order is needed.

Privacy and Security

Personal customer information is encrypted with the latest technologies using several keys for maximum security. Credit cards, debit cards, and other billing information cannot be read as it travels through HOBAW's purchase ordering system (256 bit SSL encryption), and the numbers cannot be read by anyone trying to access the site remotely.

 

Personal customer information necessary to authorize an account is not stored by HOBAW's systems and is only in use during the processing and completion of the associated transaction. The last four(4) digits of the customer's credit card number are stored with transaction information for identification purposes.

 

HOBAW has implemented a requisite physical, electronic, and managerial processes to prevent unauthorized access, and to maintain data security.

 

Updating Contact Preferences

Customer may opt out of receiving information or notifications from HOBAW by specifying on Contact Us.

 

Customer may contact HOBAW at any time to update contact preferences or identifiable information. To protect customer privacy and security, HOBAW will take reasonable steps to verify customer identity before granting access or applying corrections.

Gift Card Policy

 

HOBAW Gift Card Policy complies with current North Carolina state law. Lost or stolen gift cards are not replaceable.

 

HOBAW Gift Cards do NOT expire and are honored for dollar value only.

​

HOBAW Gift Cards usually arrive in 3 – 7 business days for customers that request shipping, or will be available within 24 hours at HOBAW's location after online purchase is processed. A $3.50 fee is applied to the purchase if shipping and handling is required.
