Continue reading and we will dive right in!

How to measure:

Circumference:

Circumference will measure the distance around your head! Starting at the center of the front hairline, place the measuring tape flat against your head and completely guide it around your head to the starting point. You do not want the measuring tape to be too loose. A loose measurement will result in a wig that is to large. Position the measuring tape just above the ear, down towards the nape area and back around to the center of the front hairline.

Ear to Ear (Across the Front Hairline):

To measure your front hairline correctly, begin by placing the measuring tape at the top of one ear and guide the measuring tape along your hairline until reaching the top of your other ear.

Front to Nape:

Your Nape is simply the back of your neck. The Nape is located where your neck bends if you were to tilt your head back and look up. A good reference point would be your natural hairline meeting the back of your neck. Measuring from the front of your headline to the back to your Nape will measure the length of your head from the front to the nape of your neck.

Temple to Temple:

Place the measuring tape at one temple area and guide it along the back of your head until reaching the other temple area.

Ear to Ear (Over the Top):

This will measure your head for the top of the wig base. Place the measuring tape against your head at the top edge of your ear and go directly across the top of your head to the top edge of the opposite ear.

Nape:

This will measure the width of your neck.

Place the measuring tape at the lowest point of your neck hairline and measure across the neck to the opposite side.

TIPS:

1. Style or braid your hair how you plan to wear it under the wig. Before measuring, you want your hair as flat as possible to get the most accurate measurement possible. you do not want your wig to fit be too large.

2. When measuring make sure not to pull the measuring tape to tight. This may result in a wig that is uncomfortable to wear or fit to small.

3. You should use a soft measuring tape when measuring your head. There are alternate methods in measuring using a string and ruler.

4. Measure your head 3 times to ensure that you get an accurate measurement. If possible, have a friend measure for you.
